Furetank Rederi AB, Rederi AB Älvtank and Thun Tankers BV have taken delivery of six, and are building additional two intermediate size tankers at Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding Ltd. The vessels are built to a design, developed by FKAB together with Furetank with special focus on minimal impact on the environment, with close to 50 % reduction of CO2 emissions.

Besides Furetank that took delivery of four of these ships, the other owners include Alvtank and Thun Tankers. Alvtank received the sixth ship out of this batch back in September 2019. The medium-sized tankers feature LNG propulsion and battery backup as well. Each of the FKAB-designed ice class ships is 149 meters long and 22.8 meters wide.
